Science in the News The class will read and discuss articles from Science Times and other weekly science publications directed to the lay audience. The articles will be available on the web to read before the seminar. Students will take turns presenting summaries of selected articles. Jenny Harrison obtained her Ph.D. in mathematics in Warwick, England. She has taught at Oxford, Princeton, and Yale, as well as UC Berkeley. Her research interests include extensions of calculus to fractal domains. Applications of this theory to the sciences may arise during this seminar.
